Gateway of Grace
Gateway of Grace helps refugees start over, many of whom are survivors of severe trauma. Gateway of Grace provides donated furniture, pocket money, groceries, baby showers, job assistance, language lessons, and more. Gateway trains volunteers and churches to adopt refugee families, the point where friendships form, and integration begins.
Gateway of Grace Volunteer Opportunities:
- Teach ESL (no experience needed)—training and materials provided
- Teach basic computer skills
- Financial Services & Literacy
- Lead workshops on budgeting, saving, and financial planning
- Teach basics of banking, credit cards, and building credit
- Help families understand U.S. financial systems and avoid predatory practices
- Offer one-on-one financial coaching or referrals to trusted service
Gateway Relational Ministries:
- Befriend a refugee family
- Offer emotional and spiritual support
- Pray with and for families
- Provide regular follow-up and encouragement
