Beginning August 2, 2026, the building will be open to parishioners and visitors and will be staffed with security during the following hours:

• Sundays: 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
• Mondays: 7 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• Tuesdays: 7 a.m. – 9:30 p.m. (Childcare is not offered)
• Wednesdays: 7 a.m. – 9:30 p.m. (Childcare available from 8:45 a.m. – 8 p.m. with a reservation)
• Thursdays: 7 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• Fridays: 7 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• Saturdays: 7 a.m. – 1 p.m.

After faithfully serving as the clergy and altar guild sacristy throughout construction, Bishop Moore Chapel will be recommissioned on August 2 and restored once again as a sacred space for worship and prayer. As you enter, you’ll notice a change in seating, with chairs in place of the former pews—each one designed to hold a beautifully crafted kneeler on the back. In a wonderful expression of shared creativity, talented stitchers from our parish are already at work on custom needlepoint hassocks, featuring hand-painted scenes from the Book of Genesis by artist Sally Shiels Schupp. Coordinating kneelers for the altar rail will complement this work. These pieces will be added to the Bishop Moore Chapel at a later date, further enriching the beauty and meaning of this beloved space.

Parking Garage

Parking is available every day of the week in the parking garage at 8111 Douglas Avenue, located just north of the new Saint Michael Atrium. The garage is situated between the Lincoln Property Group building (8111 Douglas Ave.) and a residential tower (8119 Douglas Ave.) on the private drive.

You can turn onto the private drive from Douglas Ave. or Lomo Alto and enter the garage from either the west or east side entrances that flank the small green lawn.

On Weekdays and Saturdays

Once you enter the parking garage Monday through Saturday, proceed to the lower levels, B1 or B2, and park in the Saint Michael-designated areas.

On Sundays

On Sundays, you may park on any level in the parking garage that does not have a reserved sign.

The entrance to the church building is on level B1 on the south side of the parking garage.

Limited Mobility Parking

We encourage guests with accessibility needs to arrive early to take advantage of B1/B2 handicapped parking. You can then easily enter the building straight from the parking garage on B1.

There is a designated drop-off zone on the north side of campus on the private drive.

The building is designed with accessibility in mind:

• Elevators provide easy access throughout the building.
• A chair lift is available at the connector between the new building and the Education Wing to accommodate walkers and wheelchairs.

During the Week and on Sundays:

• Main entrances leading to the Atrium just off the Plaza along Douglas Ave., and the private drive.
• Garage Connector on Level B1 in the garage.

On Sundays and for services during the week:

• Main Church doors on Douglas Ave.
• Saint Michael Red Chapel doors on Colgate.
• South Entrance door on Colgate for the Mid-Week Eucharist in Bishop Moore Chapel

These doors are no longer entrances, beginning August 2:

• West Entrance

• South Entrance off Colgate Ave., except on Wednesdays for the Mid-Week Eucharist in Bishop Moore Chapel

• South Entrance to the Education Building

Sundays: Childcare is available from 8:40 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for children ages 0 – 4 years old. Childcare North is for our youngest (0 – 18 months) and Childcare South is for those a little older (18 months – 4 years old). On Sunday mornings, you will check in your children in these new spaces.

Wednesdays: Childcare is open for children ages 0 – 4 years old on Wednesdays from 8:45 a.m. – 8 p.m., and reservations can be made online.

Childcare is not offered on Monday, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, or Saturdays.

During open business hours, we will have security officers on site to keep our parishioners, visitors, and building safe.

The Welcome Desk, located on the first floor in the Atrium, is your first stop if you need information about our new building or directions to a room or space. This is also the place where you will check in if you are meeting with a staff member. You will be escorted to the third floor. The Welcome Desk will be staffed by security during the building’s operating hours.

Located next to the Atrium in the heart of our building, the Café is a welcoming place to stop by for complimentary coffee, meet with friends, or host a small-group conversation in a comfortable, central space. The Café also features premium self-serve vending kiosks with elevated grab-and-go options, specialty treats, and convenient refreshments throughout the day.

The Plaza, located on Douglas Ave. just outside the main entrance to the new building, serves as a central gathering space for church-wide events, receptions, the Easter Sunrise Service, and more. Featuring a covered patio with comfortable outdoor seating, it offers a welcoming place for fellowship and connection any time during the week.

Saint Michael has several welcoming gathering spaces on Level 1 and Level 2. These spaces are open for informal areas perfect for fellowship and connection.

Saint Michael Episcopal School (SMES) occupies the first floor of the Education Building. These spaces are locked and secured for the safety of the children and SMES staff. On the second floor of the Education Building, you will find the Youth Center, the Coke Room, and several classrooms and meeting rooms designed to hold Sunday school classes, Bible studies, weekday meetings, standing committee meetings and more.
