TSTC Multi-Skilled Technician Program
“I wake up at 3 a.m. to make it on time, and I work two part-time jobs while enrolled full-time. There are hard days, but I am moving one step closer to achieving my goals and creating a better future for myself and my family.”
Precious is not a word chosen lightly; it is the name this young woman has carried with her through extraordinary circumstances, and one she is now making entirely her own. Enrolled at Texas State Technical College in an Associate of Applied Science program, she is training to become a multi-skilled technician: qualified in building maintenance, electrical work, and mechanical systems. It is a field that has long been shaped by the hands of men, and Precious is walking into it with her eyes open and her tools ready. When Project Moses learned what her program required, the scope was significant: a full professional toolkit, the kind that arrives in a large rolling toolbox, red, sturdy, and stocked with the specialized instruments her trade demands. It is the sort of equipment that signals to anyone who sees it that its owner means business. Project Moses provided it without hesitation, and Precious got to work.
She wakes before dawn and travels long distances to reach her classes, balancing school, part-time work, and responsibilities that would humble many. Her case manager put it plainly: she balances multiple responsibilities with maturity beyond her years, demonstrating her drive and passion for her future. Project Moses is proud to be part of that support, to stand steadily behind a young woman who has chosen, with remarkable courage and clarity, to build something lasting.

Project Moses is a mission founded by parishioners to highlight the truths of human trafficking and share the Light of Christ with its survivors.
This ministry focuses on the scourge of human trafficking in our community through education and awareness, advocacy with legislators and law enforcement, and partnerships with many agencies working on the rights and rehabilitation of the many survivors of this crime.
