Take some time to get out of the hurried ways of life and the noise around us to draw close to God with others through Lectio Divina. This is a contemplative way of reading the Bible or other texts and was established by Benedict in the 6th century. It provides a time of meditation and quiet focusing upon a reading or even art, followed by discussion and growth with others. Lectio is not a Bible study or even an alternative to Bible study but something radically different. It understands Scripture as a meeting place for a personal encounter with the living God.
