Logan Herod is a native of the Dallas area who started piano and voice lessons at an early age. Logan joined the Children’s Chorus of Greater Dallas in the 4th grade and was a member through her senior year of high school. After being active in the music program in the Highland Park School District, Logan was accepted to attend Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Downtown Dallas, focusing on Vocal Music and Music Theory. While there, she also participated in two different select choral ensembles, Jazz Singers, and Opera Workshop.

She then attended Oklahoma City University, where she graduated in four years with two bachelor’s degrees: one in Vocal Music Education and the second in Church Music with a concentration in Organ Performance. She then returned to the Dallas area after student teaching Pre-K through 12th grade in the Oklahoma City area to begin her teaching career and pursue graduate school. She then completed a Master of Sacred Music and a Master of Music in Music Education from SMU. In addition, Logan maintains an active performance schedule and is often featured as a soloist during various church services throughout the year.

Logan has spent the past 10 years teaching, directing, and performing in private and parochial schools and churches all over the Dallas area, in several different faith traditions. She holds certifications in several early childhood programs, including First Steps in Music, Music Together, Orff Schulwerk, and Kodaly. She also teaches piano, voice, guitar, and ukulele to private students. In her free time, she loves to travel, read, watch documentaries, and try new restaurants. She recently completed visiting all 50 states.
