Women of Saint Michael Spring Luncheon

Wed, May 6 @ 10:30 am - 1:30 pm

at 7000 Park Lane

Please join us for the Women of Saint Michael Spreading Light & Joy Spring Luncheon.

We will reflect on a year of incredible accomplishments in 2025/2026 while also recognizing the groups that fueled these successes. The Women of Saint Michael’s Gift Committee, after completing deliberate research of local, national, and international agencies, will announce the grant recipients.

Finally, we will continue to shine light into the world with our best-selling author, professor, and speaker, SC Perot, as she shares her journey of finding light and joy after experiencing loss. And the fun continues at 2:30 p.m. when SC will join us at The Exchange to sign copies of her book, Styles of Joy.  It will be an afternoon you don’t want to miss!

Tickets are sold out!

About SC Perot

SC Perot is a storyteller, educator and bestselling author. A proud Dallas native, she is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and Stanford Law School. After practicing law, she made a bold mid-pandemic pivot to pursue her longtime passion for teaching.

Today, SC serves as an Adjunct Faculty member at Vanderbilt University, where she teaches in the Human and Organizational Development department, helping students navigate the intersections of purpose, leadership and human connection.

Her debut book, Styles of Joy, explores how we can discover and express joy as a practice—not a personality trait. Her signature keynote presentation centers on living JOY out loud, even in life’s most uncertain moments. Her talks are an invitation—to feel deeply, connect authentically, and reimagine what’s possible when we lead with heart.

SC is a sought-after voice on joy, resilience, reinvention and the art of showing up. When she’s not writing, teaching or speaking, SC can be found in Nashville, TN, enjoying live music, good food, and time with her four-legged sidekick, Ranger.

Styles of Joy

Through Styles of Joy, embark on an extraordinary journey blending the excitement of zero-to-one-hundred fandom with thoughtful reflections on joy—yours, mine, and ours. After a post-divorce and post-pandemic “grief sabbatical” took her to seventeen Harry Styles concerts across five countries in ten months, the author reveals how throwing out the rulebook can lead to profound personal joy. This narrative nonfiction series of heartwarming short stories is equal parts anthropological observations, unlikely fangirl manifesto, and reflection on life after loss.

Structured into four colorful yet thought-provoking parts, Styles of Joy prompts readers to examine joy in their own lives while enjoying tales from the author’s own adventures.

Cultivate – What brings you joy? Discover how to pay attention and learn to transform everyday moments into celebrations.

Adopt – Are you adopting others’ joy as your own? Explore how looking for “joy in the wild” can enrich your own life.
