By the Rev. Robin Hinkle
Day 2 in the field in Tela Honduras and our team is in full swing. we have an amazing construction team installing a concrete sidewalk at a school in the san Martin barrio mixing concrete with shovels and buckets of dirt and concrete mix. Hard good work!
The team at Espiritu Santo led by Sally Schupp and Mary Elizabeth Schlier Did amazing work with the Bible classes teaching the creation story. They then took their team to El Sauce barrio Where they met a young man and his children who had attended their sessions approximately 15 years ago. They are now teaching the second generation of children in that barrio!
Another team went to San Martin And started by giving fluoride treatments to 40 children. The team then taught Bible school to over 50 children making beaded crosses and jeweled crowns. We also took everyone's photo with the Polaroid camera and the children then put their pictures in the frame they decorated to take home. The kids then sang and danced as they shared their joy in love with us! The blessings of joy this day to all!
