PALM CROSS MAKING
Thursday, March 30
9 a.m.–12 p.m. in the Parlor
Breakfast snacks and light lunch are provided. No prior experience needed. Bring scissors.
Join the Altar Guild in the Parlor on Thursday, March 30, the Thursday before Palm Sunday, for a special event of making palm crosses! This hands on experience is an opportunity to help create the palm crosses that will be distributed to everyone during the Palm Sunday services.
This event is open to everyone, regardless of age or experience. No prior knowledge is required, as our experienced volunteers will guide you through each step of the process. We also will show a YouTube video featuring our Rector demonstrating how to make a palm cross. You will be able to work with fresh palm fronds, which are traditionally used to symbolize Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem.
Making palm crosses is a wonderful way to engage with the Easter story and reflect on its meaning. It's also a great way to spend time with friends and family and meet new people from the community.
