Trinity New Orleans is sponsoring a workshop on Undoing Racism on September 26 and 27. The workshop will use the national Episcopal Church's program entitled "Seeing the Face of God in One Another: Anti-Racism Dialogues." The Church's position is that racism is prejudice coupled with power. Racism distorts the biblical understanding that all human beings are created in the "image of God". Our question as members of the Episcopal Church is how can we who have inherited advantage and privilege work to bring about the reconciliation of all? Trinity's goal in sponsoring this workshop is to be an inclusive, racially positive institution, true to Christ's commandment and our Baptismal covenant to love our neighbors as ourselves.
Debbie and Tom and Rhodus will be attending and this is open to all members of our parish. For more information, please contact Debbie Rhodus at (214) 692-6683 or email at trhodus02@charter.net.
