The Reverend Dr. Robert S. Dannals
Rector

The Reverend Dr. Robert S. Dannals, became the seventh rector of Saint Michael and All Angels in October 2007. A graduate of Florida State University, he majored in religion and psychology, Bob received his M.Div. from Virginia Theological Seminary and a D.Min. from Drew University. He also received a doctorate in practical theology (with a thesis on Dietrich Bonhoeffer) from the Graduate Theological Foundation. In addition to Christ Church in Greenville, he has served three Episcopal parishes in North Carolina: Christ Church, Charlotte; Trinity Church, Statesville; and Christ Church, New Bern.

A Florida native, Bob, his preferred name, enjoys dancing, golf, fishing, hiking and hunting. He is married to Valerie, a former high school sweetheart and they have a daughter, Mary Blair.

Associate of Outreach and Mission

The Reverend Dr. Kevin D. Huddleston returns to Saint Michael’s after a 13 year absence.  He will serve as the associate responsible for Outreach and Mission at St. Michael’s.  Father Huddleston has been most recently the Chaplain at St. Mark’s School of Texas where he taught World Religions, Ethics in a Multi-cultural Context and Foundation of World Societies at St. Mark’s School of Texas.  He received his BA in Religion and Philosophy from Milligan College, a Master of Divinity from The Divinity School of Vanderbilt University and a Doctorate of Ministry from Seabury-Western.  He was ordained an Episcopal priest at St. David’s Episcopal Church, Austin, Texas in 1988.  Fr. Huddleston has served as Priest in Austin, Dallas, and Fredericksburg, Texas.  He is married to Gaye Lynn Huddleston, Director of Children’s Ministry at the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration, Dallas, Texas.  He has three children, Nathan, 28 of Nashville, Tennessee, Reade, 16, junior at St. Mark’s and Anna, 9, 4th grader at Parish Episcopal School.  Fr. Huddleston’s interest is preaching in the pre-Constantinian church (100—300 A.D.).  Fr. Huddleston continues to explore the connection between poetry and preaching.

     
   

The Reverend Robert “Rob” Leacock
Associate for Liturgy and Worship

Rob was born and raised in Gainesville, FL. After receiving his AB in Classics at Davidson College in 2001, he entered the Yale and Berkeley Divinity Schools in New Haven, CT where he earned his MDiv. Rob previously spent a year at Saint Michael as a Pathways to Ministry intern. Rob was ordained a priest on February 3, 2007. Rob is married to Stefanie, a native of South Carolina. Outside of ministry Rob enjoys reading, film, college football, teaching himself to play the guitar and spending time with Stefanie.

The Reverend Amy D. Meaux
Associate for the Children, Youth and Families Ministries

The Reverend Amy D. Meaux is a graduate of the Episcopal Theological Seminary of the Southwest, she comes to Saint Michael and All Angels from Trinity Church, New Orleans. She serves as our Associate Rector for the Children, Youth and Families Ministry. Amy’s passion is sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ that others can know the deep love of God. She and her husband, Jared, have a daughter, Elise and a son Jacob.

The Reverend Christie Olsen
Associate for Discipleship and Engagement

Christie returns to Saint Michael’s to give imagination and leadership to all of the welcoming and lay ministry engagement efforts and to increase the active participation of thousands of our parish. 

A native of Dallas and Palo Alto, California, Christie spent her grade school and middle school years in Highland Park. Following her undergraduate studies at Sweet Briar College (B.A. in Music, 1986) she lived and worked in Boston for thirteen years, where she became an active lay person at Trinity Church, Copley Square. Christie graduated from Yale Divinity School (MDiv) in 2002 and following ordination, served as Associate for Pastoral Care at Saint Michael for five years.  She has spent the last year and a half at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C.

The Reverend Patty Willett
Associate for Pastoral Care

Ann Patterson Willett is a native North Carolinian, a graduate of Brenau College, a liberal arts women’s college in Gainesville, Georgia, and graduated with honors from the School of Theology at The University of the South:  Sewanee with an M. Div. degree.

Like each of us, Patty has received and lived several of her life’s purpose – as a teacher, spouse, mother, community worker, Bible teacher, Vestry member, seminarian, and most recently Patty served as an associate priest at Christ Church, Greenville, South Carolina. Thus, she brings a range of quality skills and experiences to our ministries, especially pastoral care.  Patty is married to Joesph “Buzz” Willett and they have three adult daughters, Anna, Lauren and Molly.

     
    The Reverend Neal Hern
Clergy Assistant for Pastoral Care

Neal was born in St. Louis, Missouri. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Westminister College and his Masters of Divinity from the Episcopal Theological School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Neal was ordained in 1964 and “retired” to Saint Michael and All Angels in 2000. Neal has been very active in Recovery Ministries and presently is on the Advisory Council, Recovery Ministries of the Episcopal Church, Chairman of the Diocese of Dallas Commission on Addiction and Recovery and convener of the Recovery Advocates of Saint Michael. He is married to Billie and has two children and five grandchildren. Outside of ministry he enjoys sculpting, bonsai, reading, cooking and traveling.

Deacon

The Reverend James K. Webb is a cum laude graduate of Perkins School of Theology at SMU, and has an MBA from Pepperdine University, having graduated from SMU with a BA degree.

A lifelong Episcopalian, he has been active in Diocesan affairs, as well as active in local pastoral ministry for the 50 Plus group and those suffering from addictions and illnesses.  He also supports the liturgical and education ministries of the church.

Growing up in Dallas, he held positions with major financial institutions on both coasts before returning.  He and his wife, Connie, have a financial advisory practice working with families and business owners.  They have two daughters, Caroline at Northwestern University, and Katie at Pepperdine University.

Director of College and Young Adults

Nate Bostian (Pronounced “Bostane,”) joined our staff, as our first Director of College and Young Adult Ministries. Nate is presently the Episcopal Campus Minister at SMU. The Diocese of Dallas and Saint Michael and All Angels will share Nate’s full-time energy (50-50).  

Nate will be present here on Sunday, Tuesday Mornings and Wednesday Evenings to cultivate ministries to/with/for our Eleventh and Twelfth graders and our local college and numerous post-college young adults. He will stay "in touch" with our away college students, and to have programs and gatherings for them when they return to Dallas. At other times during the week, including Sunday evenings, Nate will be busy leading  The Canterbury Center activities on the SMU campus www.canterburydallas.org. 

Nate is married to Kim, and they have a daughter Elise, with a son on the way. Nate is originally from North Little Rock, Arkansas, but spent his teenage years in the Dallas area. He received his undergraduate degree in 1996 from Texas A&M University, and recently graduated from Perkins Theological Seminary (SMU) with a M. Div. Degree. He is scheduled to be ordained an Episcopal Deacon this summer with plans- God willing- to be ordained a priest with the coming year.
