Children's Sunday School Offerings 2008-2009

Traditional Sunday School 
Children's Sunday school, using the Workshop Rotation Model, meets from 10:00 to 10:50 a.m.  The 3 year olds through 3rd Grade will begin with a unit on stewardship then study Abraham and Advent.  The 4th grade will be studying the main stories of the Old Testament in the Fall.  They are looking at the overall story of the Bible and how the individual stories are related.  They are also looking at what the stories mean for them in 2008.  Make a Joyful Noise, where children hear a story and sing praise music will continue for the Three Year Olds through the Third grade as part of the Rotation Model.  If you are interested in leading the music, please contact Children and FamilyMinistry at 214-369-4905.   Sunday School begins on Sunday, September 14.

Order of the Archangel-5th Grade Sunday School The Knights in the Order of the Archangel are coming to Saint Michael's 5th Grade Sunday school class!! This year Michael, Trinity, Mary, and their friends take a wondrous journey through the Bible, Prayer Book, fictional and learning situations that parallel life's challenges.  The decisions made by Michael and his friends will be based on their exercise of good judgment in response to life's challenges facing them throughout the year.

Catechesis of The Good Shepherd Catechesis of The Good Shepherd will be offered this year on Sunday mornings for 3-6 year olds from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. and 6-9 year olds from 10:00 to 11:15 a.m.  There will also be a class on Tuesday afternoons for the 3-6 year olds from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m.  Catechesis of The Good Shepherd uses the Montessori approach to develop children's inherent spirituality.  Children will learn about the Bible, the sacraments, and worship. Sunday classes are full at this time.  Classes begin Sunday, September 14.   Registration for the 2008-2009 school year is closed.
