COMMUNITY OF SAINT BENEDICT
Is an intentional praying community living by a rule of life based on the Rule of Saint Benedict. Members are committed to meeting twice monthly for prayer, study and spiritual formation, plus regular retreats. In this way they seek to grow and deepen their lives in Christ and their individual ministries in Christ’s church. Each member actively participates and leads in other Pastoral Care, education, and ministries in Saint Michael and All Angels Church

Are dedicated to learning and teaching about the significance of prayer in one’s spiritual life. Team members serve by praying with and on behalf of those presenting their prayer requests for need, care, healing, and thanksgiving, during the 8:45 and 11 a.m. services in the Church and at the 9 a.m. Joy Mass in the Parish Hall. Team meetings are on the third Thursday Evening of each month 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Coke Activities Room. The Community of Saint Benedict and the Daily Intercessory Prayer Ministry members join in these meetings.

PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY
A “hands on” ministry for those who love to knit and those who want to learn to knit. Knitters knit, pray, and tag their shawls with a prayer for the recipient. The shawls are then blessed by the clergy and the congregation in Sunday services before they are given to those who are in need. This has been an effective ministry in extending the love of our parish to those who are hurting or ill. To date, over 1,000 shawls have been knitted and given away by this ministry. Bring your needles and join this group who meet every Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Coke Activities Room.

ALTERKNIT NIGHTTIME KNITTING MINISTRY
Come to a Bible study that feeds your soul AND moves your hands! Knitting and Scripture: What a combination. Come for either or both. Don't know how to knit? No problem, we will teach you for the low, low price of producing one prayer shawl apiece (no time limit). Don't know much about the Bible? No problem. Bring a Bible. You can also bring a friend! We are appealing to anyone (men, women, students, working professionals, etc.). The hours are designed to provide an opportunity for folks who want to learn but can't make the prayer shawl group on Tuesday afternoon. We would love to have anyone who can come. ALTERknit Nighttime Knitting Ministry meets Tuesday nights from 6 to 8 p.m.
