Drama

We are excited to announce new opportunities for drama available to the children and youth of Saint Michael and All Angels Church!

Nativity Pageant 2009
3rd, 4th, 5th, and 9th graders made up the cast of the Nativity Pageant , which will took place in December. In 2010, we will again present this pageant.

Come one, Come all to experience the story of the Nativity of our Lord!  
This December 20, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 9th graders presented the story of the Nativity. Younger children dressed up as their favorite Nativity character. Costumes were available for any child who needed them on the day of the Pageant.  Dinner took place in the Parish Hall between the presentations with Christmas caroling for all. CLICK HERE to see photos of the nativity pageant.

All Saints Pageant 2009
On November 1, LiveWIRE students (6th-8th graders) dressed up as saints for an All Saints Fair! Some gave the sermon, their Saint's story; during the 9 a.m. Discovery Mass in the chapel. Others traveled to the 3 yr.-old through 3rd grade Sunday School classes to present their Saints and led the kids in a craft activity during the 10 a.m. Sunday School hour. In 2010, we will again present this pageant.

Godspell add

 Godspell 2010
High School students will present the musical, Godspell Jr., on Friday, March 26.Godspell uses songs, parables, and theatrics to retell the Gospel according to St. Matthew in a fun and entertaining way. This year, as a Lenten Outreach Project, the cast will take the production “on the road” and perform it for the families of the Jubilee neighborhood. To help prepare them for that, groups of SMAA students, both in the cast and not, will travel down to work with the Jubilee children to make set pieces and props that will be used in the show. While working, cast members will teach them some of the songs so that they can sing along with the cast.

 Pentecost Pageant 2010
Beginners (3 years by September 1, 2009) through 2nd Graders will be in the Pentecost Pageant this year.  More information will be coming.
